Finally thought

Finally thought, after taking this course I benefited from all the topics that we learned and I will use some of them in my classes. I will try to use the web quest as a competition between my classes to make challenges among them. They will do the best to win the competition. I think this will help me to control the class in easy way and also it will be easy to evaluate them because of the rubric. Thank you Dr. Myint .    

Classroom games

Classroom games will help students to understand the lesson better than the usual lesson. They will have fun, and learn new information by playing n the classroom. Also learning by using games will develop their social skills. They will make discussions with other students and learning new information from others. I already used the games in my classes to make students love the subject and to learn and understand more knowledge of using the computer. Also I let them play computer games in the lesson to not be boring and to break from the usual.

Web Quest

I think web quest is a learning activity that helps students to learn better and to develop their thinking skills. Also they have fun in doing activities using web quest, because they choose their interests topic, work in team that increase the cooperating work among them, and they use the web resources to make their project. Web quest projects are simple to create by using any easy software that teachers interest in. I will use it in my subject's project to make my students being interesting and to have fun work together.

 

Inquiry based learning

Inquiry based learning is very useful strategy of learning strategies that help students in different areas. Socially, it help them to build a friendships with students because they work together to solve the problems. It helps them to use their knowledge in thinking and to develop their thinking skills. That means to encourage their Meta cognitive thinking. Also students learn how to take the responsibility of how to learn which means learning roles shift from teacher to students. I think this strategy is very professional for secondary students that help them for the studying in the university.

Concept map

Concept map known as graphics organizers that help students to make their lesson easy and clear to understand. It is a diagram that student draw it. Because most of students learned by visual learning so that concept maps will help them to develop their thinking skills and to understand the lesson perfectly.  Also they can use it to decrease the large amount of information in to a simple diagram or map that understand it better and not forgot it. I think using concept maps to my students will help them to be active and understand the subject fast and easy.

Reflection2: Student Centered Learning

In the past, teachers used to teach their lessons by using directed learning,which is Teacher Centered Learning style.The students didn’t get any knowledge from this style of learning, because they can not understand from only listening to the teacher.
So, the meaning of Student Centered Learning is using the discovered learning style,that make the students to know and learn the subjects by themselves.
For example, in my lesson( movie maker ) I used to use Student Centered Learning, by showing my students a movie that I made it by using that program, and asked them to think about how I did it. Some of them were knew about it, and they share the ideas. I asked them to open the program and define how to use it by trying everything. At the end of the lesson, they knew everything by themselves and they enjoyed the lesson.

I think this style of learning is better than the teacher centered learning, because it makes the students depend on themselves, and become active in the classroom.

Computer as a Tutor, Tool, and Tutee Reflection 1 :

Information technology becomes in every where, at the home, work, and school. And people use it in different areas in business, communication, sharing knowledge, and teaching subjects at schools.

Now days, computers used as a Tutor, Tool, and Tutee. Teachers can use the computer in the three uses.But in our schools we use it only as a Tool.

Computer can be used as a tool, by use it in many ways. Teacher use it in teaching the lesson, by showing students videos and pictures. Also students can use it in preparing for their school projects and communicate with other people.I used it for preparing and presenting my lesson.

  

The three uses of the computer is very important in education, which can we use it in different tasks.I will try to use it as a Tutour that will help me in teaching.
